Harvest Christian Church is a missional church, understanding that every member is called to a missions lifestyle wherever they are to be found. In addition, we are committed to making disciples of all nations in accordance with Jesus’ great commission.
Bet Shekoom– An inner-city ministry to women, children, destitute,addicted and emotionally broken individuals.
Damascus Prison Ministries– The aim of the organization is to transform the lives of offenders through friendship relationships and rehabilitation programmes, while creating opportunities for life-changing encounters with Jesus Christ.
Evangelism– Includes the Alpha course and special events.
Gogo Trust– Provides care and support to widows and orphans (especially as a consequence of HIV/AIDS) in Kwazakhele and neighbouring townships in Port Elizabeth.
Kleinskool Community– A squatter camp upliftment and empowerment ministry overseen by Jesus is Lord Ministries, of which Harvest is fully supportive.
Siya Sebenza Job Creation– Bridging the gap between employers and employees. Filling the gap through job creation. Taking the gap with the right attitudes and skills.
Vistarus– Uplifting the community by providing accommodation for the homeless and needy, teaching lifeskills, and creating employment opportunities.
Vulnerable Babies Ministry–Empowering single mothers through training and resourcing, to care for their babies, and practically rescuing and securing the futures of abandoned babies.
In addition, the church focuses attention on the African continent through the following ministries:
Action Child Mobilisation -Training Christian pre-school teachers, providing curriculum and establishing Christ-centred pre-primary schools with a focus on poor and unreached communities.
Farming God’s Way– Transforming the rural poor of Africa through teaching God’s way of farming.
Kenya– Given to reaching twelve unreached people groups by planting self-governing, self-propagating and self-sustaining churches in each group.
Uganda– Providing leadership assistance and resource to 10 churches in this nation.
